How financing works
- How is the estimate calculated?
- We use the standard amortised loan formula: the amount financed is spread across your chosen term at the interest rate shown, so each monthly payment covers both interest and principal. A zero-interest promo simply divides the amount financed by the number of months.
- Is this the amount I will actually pay?
- No. It is an estimate based on the figures you entered. Your actual rate, term and approval depend on the financing provider and your own qualifications, and there are usually additional charges such as registration, insurance and chattel mortgage fees.
- What do I need to apply?
- Requirements vary by provider, but usually include a valid ID, proof of income and proof of billing. Send us an inquiry and we will tell you exactly what your chosen provider asks for.
- Can I pay a larger down payment?
- Yes, and it is usually worth it. A bigger down payment reduces the amount financed, which lowers both the monthly payment and the total interest you pay over the term.
